Group Runs

The group runs gives us a great opportunity to socialize afterwards to share our experiences.   The runs and racing keeps us sharp and connected.  The group runs focus on individual pace and no one is too slow for the group.  No runner is left behind ever. 

Please note that safety is of the utmost importance.  When daylight saving time changes in the fall, please wear reflective wear and lights.

Group Run Schedule

As much as we have tried to be accurate with this schedule, runs are subject to change. The C&C Runners Race and Event Headquarters Facebook page has the latest events or check out the individual  website or Facebook pages.




  • 6:00PM – Group Drumstick Dash Run Series
    The run will begin at the race start place and we will run the route and end at the market building.  It is a “run your own pace” group run.  Weeks may vary due to the leader work schedule.  Event updates will be posted on the C&C Runners Race & Event Headquarters page.  Light source required.

    All paces and distances welcome!  We can pair up or just run as a pack depending on what everyone needs in mileage.

  • Hike It Baby Roanoke
    Hike it Baby is a new mama group focused on getting families on the trail and out doing urban strolls with their newborns as soon as they feel ready. We offer a supportive group with our number one rule being “leave no mama behind.” Poopy diaper, we stop. Need to nurse, we teach you how to nurse on trail. We are a community and a network to help you feel safe and secure in nature!

  • Let’s Go For a Run
    We are a run/walk group for those wanting to start a running program or just like to run intervals.  We run short and long distances and different speeds, we also have those who like to just walk. All runners and walkers are welcome!  Usually Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning.  We have those that run in the early morning and in the evening, but we are flexible depending on the weather.

  • Run for God 
    Free training sessions two to three times a year.  Teams meet for group runs up to three times a week in various locations to train for 5k, 10k, half, and full marathons.  Walkers are welcomed!
